The Gift of the Spirit

The gift of the Holy Spirit is not imparted in consequence of the observance of the law of Moses, which Christ did not come to break but to fulfill, but the gift of the Holy Spirit is in connection with the preaching of the gospel (the raw, undiluted word of God).
It seems to me, that God, who had furnished or imparted to us the remarkable influences of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost as Christ instructed His disciples to wait for the promise (the Holy Spirit) and this had been done in connection with the preaching of the gospel, and not by the observance of the law. The Law did not bring forth the promise, neither the observance of the law but the full observance and obedience to the word.
We are made God's agents, channels, instruments, vessels in imparting His remarkable endowments, and this is done by one who had not enforced the necessity of obeying the law of Moses, but one who had received divine conviction from the preaching of the simple gospel.
The servant of God who has thus received the Holy Spirit is qualified to impact same to others, via the preaching of the word and strict believing from the hearers. Let this word guide you
