Truth:
  1. That which is true or in accordance with facts or reality
  2. A fact or belief that is accepted as true
  3. The body of real things, events and facts

Protect:

  1. To keep safe from harm or injury
  2. To cover or shield from exposure, injury, damage or destruction

John 8:31-47:
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 18:33-38
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Basic Truths:
1.      We are not slaves
2.      We are God's Children
3.      We are saved and Redeemed

Psalm 91:1-7
1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side

Divine Protection:
Divine Protection is the act of supernaturally shielding someone from harm, injury or danger. It is God’s way of defending or shielding man from every form of evil; it is supreme and absolutely dependable. Divine protection is your covenant right if you are born again; it is one of the packages of redemption in Christ.

To enjoy divine protection from the increasing cruelty and wickedness in the world, you by knowing the truth:

  • ·       The truth enables you to Be born again:

John 3:3, 7. Your greatest asset is your identity in Christ. Salvation re-positions you for protection. God’s protection is reserved for the children of God. To be born again is actually a shift in position from the earthly to the heavenly; from danger to safety.

  • ·       The truth helps you to Understand your new status in Christ:

Psalm 82:5. Your new status as a born again child of God places you under the protective covering of God – Col. 3:3

  • ·      The truth enables you to  Be conscious of His ever abiding presence:

Matt. 28:20. Once you are born again, you have made God your trusted companion. Thus, you have to be conscious of it – Zech. 2:5, 8. God reacts when anyone dares to think of hurting you.

  • ·       The truth ensures that you are spiritually sensitive:

In this context, spiritual sensitivity is the ability to tap into God’s mind through the power of the Holy Spirit to know when danger is ahead - Isaiah 30:21. Sensitivity can be enhanced through the Word of God – Psalm 119:105. When you are sensitive, you enjoy deliverance – Psalm 23:4

  • ·       The truth helps you to Walk in love:

Divine protection is guaranteed when you have love and affection for God’s kingdom. Absolute dependence on God’s ability to protect you causes you to live in the realm of divine security.

  • ·       The truth helps you to Trust more in God:

Psalm 125: 1-3. Total confidence in God and His word provokes God’s omnipotence for your protection. Trust is the force that commits God to perform; He desires your trust in Him

  • ·       The truth ensures you Make bold declarations:

Salvation sets the pace for your protection while faith establishes the place of your covering – Isaiah 44:26. The tongue is a powerful tool that controls the affairs of life; what you say is what is supplied to your life.

  • ·      the truth ensures you Refuse to fear:

Fear is a proof that you lack faith. It is a tool for satanic intimidation. Anything you are afraid of, you will become a victim of – Job 3:25. Faith is the custodian of every man’s destiny. It is a spiritual force that puts you in command. You can redesign your destiny by faith.
